Admission to This is the Place Heritage on June 10 was free. So Mom and I took Jody, Garrett, and Julia. We had a good time looking around, riding the train, getting free ice cream cones, and we even attended school old style.
The following weekend, June 11, brought the sealing of Jess and Greg in the Bountiful temple. We were able to see family, take pictures in great weather, and enjoy a lunch at Greg's aunt's house. It was a wonderful day!
Then, on June 14 I was able to go to Sundance with some really fun girls to do the full moon ski lift ride. I had wanted to do this last year, but the one time I went up it was cancelled due to weather, and then, I couldn't get anyone else to go after that. The weather was pleasant, and the ride was very nice...the company was absolutely amazing!
Then, the last full week of June, the 20th through 24th, brought my much needed and anticipated vacation with Mom. On Monday, we got breakfast at IHOP, drove, filled up with gas a few times, grabbed dinner at a Greek restaurant, and drove some more. We got to our hotel at around 7 California time which was really nice because it gave us some good down time.
Tuesday was spent at the most magical place on Earth! We were able to walk through the animation studio and see the Aladdin show, Turtle Talk with Crush show, and the World of Color show! The Color show WAS AMAZING AND A DEFINITE MUST SEE! We were able to ride a good amount of rides without having to wait any more than 40 minutes. We even "scored" fast passes for my "favorite ride," Tower of Terror. We went to get in line for a 40 minute wait to have someone else hand us two fast past tickets.
Wednesday allowed for another day at Disneyland. We rode a fair amount of rides along with trying out the newest ride, The Little Mermaid ride. We walked over to Splash Mountain and got fast passes, but were handed fast passes that we could use right away! We ate at my favorite place, Cafe Orleans which has the tastiest fries EVER! In addition, we watched the Soundsational parade and saw Fantasmic. We ended the night by buying a number of souvenirs. We had to make up for the fact that we didn't bring the kids along. :)
We took a little slower of a pace getting ready on Thursday. So we decided to stop by McDonalds to try the oatmeal which is very tasty and made a few other quick stops before getting on the road. This time on the road was nice because we stopped in St. George at the Tuacahn. We had a yummy meal at Sandy's Diner before seeing Grease which was fun! We headed to the hotel after to find out that I had actually made the reservation for the next night. The gentleman that helped us was very nice and got us into a suite for the same price.
Friday brought the end of our vacation. :( We had a nice breakfast, did initiatory at the St. George temple, did a tour of Brigham Young's winter home, and grabbed lunch at Wendy's to try the new berry salad. It was tasty! We ended up getting home at about 7:30.
