So as the month of September came to an end, I was thinking that nothing too spectacular happened, but forgot about the fun trip I took with my friend Jen to St. George. We went down over the weekend of Sep 10-12. We had set the goal of attending all of the Utah temples in 2010, so we took this opportunity to go to the St. George temple. It was a great get away. We got to St. George late Friday night, took our time getting up Saturday, grabbed something to eat, and headed off to a session at the St. George temple. It truly is a beautiful temple. Then, we decided to spend the rest of the day visiting church historic sites. We went to the tabernacle, Brigham Young's home, and Jacob Hamblin's home. It was great to hear stories of faith and miracles. We were even able to see a cotton plant for the first time (pictured below you can see the white puff). It was a nice break to get away from the worries of life for a weekend with a great friend.
